Mental health and COVID 19

One of the major concern in the pandemic is the stability of not only being physically fit, but how to be mentally fit too. 

It is natural, during the time of crisis if people feel stressed out and have fear in mind about the uncertainty.
As there is temporary unemployment, home-schooling of children, not being able to stay connected with friends and family members and changes in daily routine undoubtedly brings stress to people.

How to stay mentally stable during pandemic?
  • Stay updated: Follow trusted news channels, updates from the WHO should be followed.
  • Stay away from rumors.
  • Follow routine activity.
  • Maintain hygiene.
  • Be in regular touch with friends and family members, through phone calls and video calls.
  • Keep watch at the screen time. Avoid excess use of T.V., mobiles and computers.
  • Eat healthy and sleep at regular time.
  • Support health workers and essential workers.
  • Help others who are in need.

Do not discriminate among people, who you may have doubt of COVID 19 infection.

Be kind towards health workers. They deserve gratitude and respect.
Help children to vent out their fears and sadness regarding the situation.

Avoid being anxious by reading/seeing rumors, best to being distracted by doing activities like drawing, writing poem, or to build something.
